






[SMM Platinum and Palladium Market Daily Review] Futures: On December 12, the most-traded platinum contract PT2606 and the most-traded palladium contract PD2606 both fluctuated upward. PT2606 closed up at 452.05 yuan per gram, rising 1.89% from the previous trading day's settlement price; PD2606 closed up at 389.45 yuan per gram, up 1.08% from the previous trading day's settlement price.Futures Trading: On December 12, PT2606 recorded a trading volume of 12,412 lots, and PD2606 recorded 5,130 lots, both increased compared to yesterday, indicating a slight rebound in market activity. PT2606's open interest was 11,170 lots, an increase of 821 lots from the previous trading day; PD2606's open interest was 3,463 lots, a decrease of 12 lots from the previous trading day. Spot Market: SMM spot platinum price rose 10.5 yuan per gram MoM to 439 yuan per gram; the Shanghai Gold Exchange traded 26 lots of spot platinum today, closing at 446.45 yuan per gram. SMM imported palladium spot price increased 2.5 yuan per gram MoM to 382 yuan per gram. International Market: The US Fed interest rate cut proceeded as expected. Last night, international spot platinum and palladium both posted significant gains, with platinum closing up at $1,692.00 per ounce, up 2.22%, and palladium closing up at $1,495.50 per ounce, up 1.50%. In yesterday's night session, NYMEX's most-traded platinum and palladium contracts fluctuated upward. NYMEX platinum January 2026 contract closed at $1,713.9 per ounce, up 4.05%, and NYMEX palladium March 2026 contract closed at $1,540.0 per ounce, up 3.53%.
